Nathan Doxsey is a second-generation green builder and has been involved in sustainable design and construction field for over 25 years. Nathan was also formerly with the City of Austin's Green Building Program from 1998 to 2004, as a residential, multifamily and affordable housing specialist. He has extensive knowledge in residential energy efficiency, affordable housing, and green remodeling both at the practical job site as well as in green goals, guidelines and technical resources. Nathan has been an Austin resident since 1989, graduated from McCallum High School and UT Austin, and was active-duty in the US Army for four years.
Some of his certifications include: LEED AP (2004), EcoBroker certified (2007), GREEN designation from the National Association of Realtors, Home Energy Rater Certification, Design & Installation of Photovoltaics, Stand-Alone Photovoltaic Design, and Certified Residential and Light Commercial Air Balancing and Diagnostic Technician. Nathan was a member of the City of Austin’s Sustainable Purchasing Taskforce, Affordable Housing Taskforce, and Energy Efficiency Upgrade Taskforce. He has also served on the board of directors of the Texas Solar Energy Society and Austin Remodelers Association.
